The Ender Series by Orson Scott Card
I plowed through Ender’s Game because it was awesome and moved at a good pace while telling a great story and setting up an intriguing world.
Speaker for the Dead was even better. I devoured that one.
Xenocide was pretty great, but it wasn’t as good as the first ones.
Right now, I’m trying to get through Children of the Mind. I’ve been working on it for almost two weeks. It’s excruciatingly slow, at least compared to the first three. It’s verging on boring. I don’t want to give up on it because I like the series and universe as a whole. I’m hoping it will pick up and get better (partly just so I’ll be done with it).
Side note: I try to write more often, but many times the words just won’t come out. I’ve been spending my time cleaning, paring things down, and being a House Hunters junkie. Speaking of House Hunter’s ….
